SU Habitat For Humanity Earns National Volunteer Award

SU's Habitat for Humanity honoredSALISBURY, MD---The Corporation for National and Community Service recently honored Salisbury University’s chapter of Habitat for Humanity with the Volunteer Service Award, lauding its members for their “commitment to strengthening our nation and making a difference through volunteer service,” said Barry King, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County.

“For 12 years the SU Chapter has been one of our strongest local supporters, raising funds to build homes and, of course, helping with the construction of the homes.  I am pleased they are receiving this well-deserved recognition at the national level for their longstanding commitment to help end poverty housing in Wicomico County.”
