SU Hosts 'An Evening in Tibet' Wednesday, November 8
SALISBURY, MD---In honor of the first night of residency of monks from the Drepung Loseling Monastery of Tibet, Salisbury University Dining Services presents “An Evening in Tibet” dinner 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, in the Bistro of the Commons.
A part of the Fall International Festival of Foods Series, the menu includes ashom tang (corn soup), mar jasha (butter chicken), shamday (Tibetan curry with beef), Tibetan noodle stew with lamb and spinach, rice, potato curry, tema (string beans with potatoes), tse tofu (greens with tofu), pita and lahvash (flatbreads), khir (Himalayan rice pudding with cashews and coconut) and barfi (Tibetan-style cream cheese cake).
The cost of the meal is $9.30 plus tax for adults, $5.72 plus tax for children ages 6-12. Children under 5 dine free.
