SU Nursing Department Celebrates 30th Year

SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University Nursing Department turns the big 3-0 this semester, and the sons and daughters of Florence Nightingale are celebrating.

A gala anniversary event from 4-10 p.m. Saturday, May 9, features tours, a dinner, and more.

The festivities begin at 4 p.m. with a tour of the campus and Nursing Department, including the department’s Wall of Fame located in Devilbiss Hall. A cocktail hour is 5 p.m. in the Bistro of the Commons, followed by a festive tribute dinner at 6 p.m.

The evening gives alumni, former faculty, friends and current members of the department a chance to connect and celebrate this milestone together. Also invited are members of the former Peninsula General Hospital School of Nursing, which, from 1905-1978, preceded the Nursing Department and in later years was affiliated with SU.
