SU Students Place First in Pennsylvania Geographical Society Competitions
SALISBURY, MD---The Pennsylvania Geographical Society recently recognized three Salisbury University students for their projects on the Delmarva Peninsula.
Senior environmental studies and geography major Rachel Pierson of Edgewater, MD, placed first in the society’s undergraduate paper contest for her presentation “Digging into Ditches: a Historical and Geographic Analysis of Delmarva’s Agricultural Drainage Ditches.”
Junior earth science major Lindsey Pinder of Centreville, MD, and senior geography major Zachery Radziewicz of Easton, MD, placed first in the undergraduate poster contest for their presentation, “Developing 2-D and 3-D SU Arboretum Visualizations for Outreach, Education and Management.”

Winning students received $100. The prizes were awarded during the society’s annual meeting in Shippensburg, PA.
