SU Virtual Presentation Features Norwegian Ambassador October 12
SALISBURY, MD---Kåre Aas, Norway’s ambassador to the U.S., speaks as part of the Salisbury University Conflict Analysis and Dispute Resolution Department’s Global Peacemaker Lecture Series 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 12.
His virtual presentation, “Norway’s Role in Peacekeeping,” is streamed live in Conway Hall Room 153.
Aas was accredited in his current position in 2013. Prior to his assignment to the U.S., he was Norway’s ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan from 2008-2010 and director general in the country’s Department for Security Policy and the Arctic from 2003-2008.
In that position, he was responsible for Norway’s cooperation with European and transatlantic partners. He also has been posted to Norway’s permanent delegation to NATO in Bussels and the permanent mission of Norway to the U.S.
