SU's Hispanic Heritage Month Screens 'Black in Latin America' Episode October 2

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Hispanic Heritage Month Festival continues with a screening of the PBS documentary series Black in Latin America episode “Haiti and the Dominican: An Island Divided,” 7 p.m. Monday, October 2, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.
Hosted by Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr., the film explores the culture of the two countries and how their histories inform notions about racial classification. A discussion moderated by Dr. April Logan of SU’s English Department follows.
