Salisbury Chorale and University Chorale Inaugurate Spring Music Festival, April 30
SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury Chorale and University Chorale, directed by Dr. William Folger, inaugurate Salisbury University’s annual Spring Music Festival on Saturday, April 30.
The concert “Life’s Journey,” is 7:30 p.m. in Holloway Hall Auditorium, highlighting works by American composers Randall Thompson and Dan Forrest.
With chamber orchestra, the chorales perform Thompson’s Frostiana: Seven Country Songs, featuring poems by Robert Frost, as well as Forrest’s Requiem for the Living. Soloists include department faculty Anne Binkley, community member Sarah Swain, and students Tess Alexander and Alexander Cooper.
Sponsored by the Music, Theatre and Dance Department, admission is $12; $9 for seniors and SU faculty, staff, students and alumni; $5 for children 12 and under.
