Shaolin Warriors Perform March 29 at SU
SALISBURY, MD---Representing over 1,000 years of martial arts culture, the Shaolin Warriors bring their fully choreographed stage production to Salisbury University’s Holloway Hall Auditorium 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 29.
These kung fu masters have undergone a lifetime of training in hand-to-hand and weapons combat to perform death-defying feats of strength and endurance, and remarkable skills pushing the human body to its limits. More than 20 members of the troupe showcase those talents during this one-of-a-kind performance. The production also features a look at the daily life of the warriors and their Zen philosophy.
The Washington Post has raved that the Shaolin Warriors “combine the agility and grace of the showmanship of Cirque du Soleil performers.” The Toronto Star has called the show “a dazzling spectacle.”
Sponsored by the Cultural Affairs Office, admission is free, but tickets are required. Tickets are available in advance at the Guerrieri Student Union Information Desk (limit two per person).
Support is provided, in part, by a grant from the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council, awarded by the Maryland State Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
