Shelton Presents at National Conference in San Diego

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University Environmental Health and Safety Manager Wayne Shelton recently was a presenter during the two-day workshop “Fire Safety, Hazardous Waste and Emergency Preparedness on College and University Campuses” in San Diego, CA. Shelton presented “Hazardous Waste Management on Campus,” discussing campus waste sources, spill prevention and regulatory procedures. He also spoke about spill control and countermeasures, chemical hygiene and hazardous waste disposal plans, minimizing waste and new disposal technology. Sponsored by the Association of College and Administration Professionals, the workshop included discussions of regulations, plans, procedures, inspections, training, property acquisitions and other issues relating to emergency safety on campus.
