Somerset Students win 2004 Edwards Nursing Scholarships

SALISBURY, MD---Teri Hardgrove of Crisfield, MD, and Gena Swift of Marion Station, MD, are the recipients of the 2004-05 Virginia Mills Edwards Nursing Scholarship at Salisbury University. Hardgrove and Swift both will be juniors in the baccalaureate nursing program this fall. “Both students were selected based on the belief that they possess the exceptional qualifications, aptitude and potential for outstanding careers in nursing” said Mary DiBartolo, Nursing Department scholarship coordinator. The Virginia Mills Edwards Nursing Scholarship is awarded each year to a nursing major who exhibits a desire to become a registered nurse. Priority is given to Dorchester County residents, but applicants from the Lower Shore are considered. Recipients receive up to $1,000 for the academic year. For more information call 410-543-6403.
