Students Finish Second in R.T. Sputum Bowl  

SALISBURY, MD--Students from Salisbury University’s Respiratory Therapy Program recently took second place in the Sputum Bowl held at the MD/DC Society for Respiratory Care’s Regional Conference by the Sea in Ocean City. Seniors Tara Miller (Salisbury), Stacey Denkines (Edgewood) and Kathi Steinbiss (Laurel, DE) participated against 10 teams from both schools and hospital Departments of Respiratory Therapy. 

The jeopardy-like competition featured topics related to respiratory care and cardiopulmonary medicine.  The SU team missed first place by one point.
