'Surfin' the Net' Course Offered Friday, May 7

SALISBURY, MD---As the 21st century progresses, the Internet is becoming a more invaluable source of information for small businesses. Salisbury University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) offers a course to help small business owners determine which Web sites will assist them in marketing their services and how to register on those sites. The course, “Surfin’ the Net,” is held 10 a.m.-noon Friday, May 7, in Room 220 at the Power Professional Building on Power and Wayne Streets. Web sites covered in the course include www.SBA.gov, First Gov, FedBizOpps, Online Women’s Business Centers, Federal Procurement Data System, Women-21 and SDB. The course also includes information about organizations such as the Business Resource Center, SBDCs, Procurement Center representatives, Veterans’ Business Development, Women’s Business Centers and 1-800-U-ASK-SBA. The cost of the course is $10 and includes all materials. The Small Business Administration co-sponsors the course.
