The Pitch Across Maryland Tour's 'Pitch Bus' Returns to SU September 14
SALISBURY, MD---The Pitch Across Maryland Tour’s “Pitch Bus” returns to Salisbury University from 3-5 p.m. Monday, September 14, at the Angle, near the Sammy the Sea Gull statue outside of Henson Science Hall.
Entrepreneurs may board the bus and record a three- to five-minute pitch about their idea or business in the vehicle’s mobile Upstart Show video studio. Videos will be uploaded to YouTube, where the public may view them and vote on their favorites. Winners receive mentorship and automatic bids into selected venture competitions.
The tour is a program of Startup Maryland, a regional initiative launched from the Startup America Partnership. The 17-day bus tour promotes and celebrates Maryland’s prominence in entrepreneurship.
SU’s Business, Economic and Community Outreach Network (BEACON), the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business and the Small Business Development Center at SU co-sponsor the bus’ fourth appearance in the area, along with the Salisbury Area Chamber, Salisbury-Wicomico Economic Development, Maryland Capital Enterprises (MCE), Wicomico County, the Wicomico Public Library, LaunchSBY, hotDesks.org, the Eastern Shore Entrepreneurship Center and the City of Salisbury.
