Tibetan Singing Bowls Demonstration at SU November 2
SALISBURY, MD---The beautiful tones of Tibetan singing bowls have been used throughout centuries for meditation and sacred ceremony.
Lainie Wrightson, an international feng shui practitioner based in Easton, MD, demonstrates how these unique musical instruments originally were used by Buddhist monks during a performance and lecture 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.
Her presentation is part of SU’s fall “Expressions of Spirituality” cultural events series.
Today, the sacred instruments are enjoyed around the world by mediators, health professionals and others interested in sound therapy, spiritual development, self-growth and healing.
Sponsored by the Cultural Affairs Office, admission is free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-543-6271 or visit the SU website at www.salisbury.edu.
