'Tubular' Quartet Performs Tuesday, October 10

Carol JantschSALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University brings the sounds of the tuba and euphonium to downtown Salisbury with a presentation by the band Tubular 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, at The Brick Room, 116 N. Division St.

Carol Jantsch, principal tubist for the Philadelphia Orchestra since 2006, leads the quartet, featuring two tubas and two euphoniums. Billing itself as “the world’s greatest tuba cover band,” its repertoire includes works by Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson and more.

Prior to the concert, Jantsch leads a tuba clinic from 5-6 p.m. in Room 112 of SU’s Fulton Hall. Area tuba students and amateurs are encouraged to attend.

Sponsored by the SU Music, Theatre and Dance Department, admission to Tubular’s performance is free and the public is invited (must be 21 to enter). Charges apply for food and drinks.
