USM Foundation Seeks Art Contest Entrants

SALISBURY, MD---In the words of Nelson Mandela, “Vision without action is just a dream, action without vision just passes the time, and vision with action can change the world.”

Thanks to the vision and action of its leadership, past and present, the University System of Maryland (USM) Foundation marks its 35th year in 2014.

Students, faculty and staff at all USM institutions, including SU, are invited to help celebrate by entering the foundation’s third annual art contest with a work based on their interpretation of Mandela’s quote.

The winner receives $599, and his or her artwork will be featured in the foundation’s 2014 annual report and on its website. Runners-up will receive cash prizes and also may be included in the annual report and on the Web.

Submissions should be made to USMF-ART@usmd.edu by midnight Sunday, September 21. Winners will be selected by Friday, September 26.
