Veterans Affairs Assistant Mitric Speaks at SU Monday, October 24
SALISBURY, MD---Janko Mitric, special assistant to the assistant secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ Office of Congressional and Legislative Affairs, speaks on "Serving those who Serve: Reflections on Congressional and Executive Branch Partnership" at Salisbury University 7 p.m. Monday, October 24.
His talk is 7 p.m. in the Worcester Room of the Commons.
Mitric discusses the issue of congressional oversight of and partnership with the armed services, and the unique relationship between Congress and the military. He also speaks about Congress and the legislative process as it relates to veterans’ issues. A question-and-answer session follows. Refreshments will be provided.
