Zevk Ensemble Trio Performs at SU December 4
SALISBURY, MD---Virtually every culture has used tales, fables, legends and epics as a method of teaching about what is enduring in the events and conditions of the human experience.
The Zevk Ensemble Trio shares that tradition at Salisbury University, performing multicultural music and storytelling 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, in Caruthers Hall Auditorium.
This group of Turkish storyteller-musicians embraces the age-old expression of every culture’s narrations of life’s laughters, loves and mysteries. Storytelling’s beauty is how each individual culture embroiders and colors its tales and simultaneously unfolds its universal theme. Through the performance, thee audience has an opportunity to gain unique insights into aspects of Islamic religion and culture.
Co-sponsored by the Department of Education and Muslim Student Association, the performance is free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-543-6030 or visit the SU Web site at www.salisbury.edu.
