Resident Student Information
As of the spring 2011 semester, Salisbury University is completely smoke free. Temporary smoking areas established for resident students during the first phase of the University's smoke-free plan in fall 2010 have been discontinued.
Anyone violating the Smoke-Free campus policy, including resident students, may be subject to a $75 fine. The Counseling Center offers free smoking cessation programs and support services for those trying to cut back or limit their use. These programs are open to students, faculty and staff. Student Health Services also offers free nicotine replacement products for students who want to stop using tobacco products and referral resources for faculty and staff. Read SU's Smoking Cessation Programs for more details.
Students choosing to smoke outside of campus are urged to heed the safety guidelines.
