About the Secondary Education Concentration Program
What better way to share your passion for English than by teaching it? Salisbury University’s English Program offers a concentration in secondary education, leading to teacher certification with the Maryland State Department of Education. That means that simply by following your course requirements, you can be approved to teach English in grades 7-12.
Our English Department can help you become a teacher who opens doors for all types of learners, no matter what they background. Our program also prioritizes helping our students learn how to integrate new technologies into the classroom—a skill that has only grown more important.
