Fulton Faculty Grant Information
The Fulton School of Liberal Arts supports the professional development of its faculty, as manifested via research and other significant developmental activities that enhance teaching capabilities and contribute to the advancement of knowledge. All full-time faculty members in Fulton are eligible to apply. Fulton Faculty Grants are supported through the Charles R. and Martha N. Fulton Endowment and through the indirect costs generated by faculty grant-writing activity. The Fulton Faculty Grant Committee screens all applications.

Fulton Faculty Grant Guidelines
Expedited Committee Review
An expedited application review process is available to Fulton faculty members who have been accepted to present their scholarly work or creative activity at reputable academic conferences germane to their disciplines. Please note that you should be prepared to justify the number of days/nights of your travel event.
Due during the fall and spring semesters no later than 4:30 pm on the following dates:
- Fall Semester:
- Sept 1st
- Oct 1st
- Nov 1st
- Dec 1st
- Spring Semester:
- Feb 1st
- Mar 1st
- Apr 1st
- May 1st
The committee will render decisions on applications within 2 weeks of each submission deadline. Applicants should determine the best time to submit the application in advance of the conference itself, assuming they would like assurance of funding prior to incurring expenses.

Expedited Committee Review Application
Full Committee Review:
There are three opportunities annually for faculty to apply for FFG funding via Full Committee Review (see the Research and Development section below for details on supported activities). Applications must be received no later than 4:30 pm on the following dates:
- Submit by September 7: For grants in support of work conducted between October 1 and January 31
- Submit by January 7: For grants in support of work conducted between February 1 and May 31
- Submit by May 7: For grants in support of work conducted between June 1 and September 30.
PLEASE NOTE: If you receive a grant award for activity that will take place between 6/1 and 9/30 and are unable to submit for reimbursement via an Expense Report in Workday prior to the deadline of June 15th (see Reimbursement & Final Report Deadlines section below) your award will count toward your maximum allowance for the next academic/fiscal year.
NOTE: If a submission deadline falls on a holiday or a weekend, the deadline is 4:30 p.m. the next business/working day.

Full Committee Review Application
It is the responsibility of the applicant to make certain that the completed proposal is submitted by the published deadline. Late applications will not be considered. All decisions of the committee are final.
