Where are they now?

The last time we checked, our alumni were studying, teaching, traveling, and much much more!

Miranda Haney (B.A. Spanish and B.A. Communication Arts, 2017) is working at an advertising agency in Ocean City, MD where she is in charge of copywriting and photography/videography. She has also been very successful in performing music in the area and is working on recording an EP!
Michaela Crawford (B.A. Spanish, 2017) is currently working at PNC bank in Chestertown where they needed somebody to speak Spanish with their clients.
Olivier Allongue (B.A. Spanish, 2017) is translating documents at Trees for the Future in Silver Spring. This is a Maryland-based nonprofit organization that helps communities around the world plant trees.
Hannah Jacques (B.A. Spanish, 2016) is teaching Spanish I and II at Queen Anne's County High School and she is pursuing a Master in Chesapeake Community College, MD.
Kathryn Mangiamele (B.A. Spanish and B.A. French, and a minor in Business Administration, 2016) is completing a Master in education at Stony Brook University to be certified in French and Spanish. She will graduate in December of 2018.
Cecilia Solano (B.A. Spanish and B.A Psychology, 2016) is teaching Spanish in Greenbelt Middle School in Prince George County, MD. She should be teaching ESOL very soon.
Lauren Feighner (B.A. Spanish, Latin American Studies Minor, 2016) is currently working at Northwestern Mutual in Baltimore, MD as an Associate Financial Representative.
Thresea Drumgoole (B.A. Spanish Secondary Education, ESOL Minor, 2016) is teaching at an IB MYP middle school in Anne Arundel County. She is currently teaching Spanish to 7th and 8th graders.
Philip Swann (B.A. Spanish, 2016) has been accepted into the M.A. in Public Affairs program at Indiana University-Bloomington, a program which is currently ranked #1 in the nation.
Caitlin Cleveland (B.A., French, Communication Arts, 2016) has received a TAPIF scholarship from the French government to teach English in Paris, France during the 2015-2016 academic year. She plans to continue to collaborate with the Paris film school at which she completed a semester-long internship while finishing her undergraduate degree at SU.
Kimberly Hurley (B.A., French, Social Work, 2016) is completing her M.A. in Social Work at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
Emily Smith (B.A., French, 2015) has been accepted to Towson University's M.A.T. program.
Amanda Raniolo (B.A., Spanish, K-12 Teacher Certification 2015,) has accepted a Spanish teaching position at Wicomico High School. She is currently teaching Spanish 1 and 2.
Bianca Morales (B.A., Spanish Secondary Education, 2015) is a Spanish teacher at Montgomery Village Middle School. So far she has taught Spanish 1A, Spanish 1A/B, Spanish 2A/B, Spanish for Spanish Speakers 1A/B and Spanish for Spanish Speakers 2A/B.
Claire Wilkin (M.A.T., French Secondary Education, 2015) has accepted a full-time French teaching position at Wicomico High School.
Veronica Petrik (B.A. French and Environmental Studies, 2015) is working at Assateague State Park and has applied to the Peace Corps.
Tara Pyciak (B.A. Spanish and Latin American Studies Minor, 2014). After graduation, she worked two years for Accomack County Public Schools as a Bilingual Parent Liaison where she gained a lot of experience in interpretation and translation, community outreach and problem solving. She recently graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University, summa cum laude from the Spanish/English Translation and Interpretation Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program and worked full-time at the local Health Department as an interpreter and outreach worker. In August 2018, she will be moving to Mexico for a year and will be teaching English to young children in a small rural community.
Natalie Brady (B.A Spanish and B.A. English, 2014) worked for three years at a study abroad company in Austin, Texas after graduation. She is currently completing a Masters degree in International Education through Instituto Franklin at the Universidad de Alcalá in Madrid, Spain. As part of her practicum, she is working in a local charter school with children from ages 4 to 14 as an “Auxiliar de Conversación.” After completion of her Masters degree, she plans to continue working with study abroad students at the university level.
Fabiola St Hilaire (B.A., Spanish, 2014) will be attending the ISGlobal Barcelona Institute for Global Health - Universitat de Barcelona beginning this September. While at UB, she will be working on her Masters in Global Health and Policy. Her program is a full-time, bilingual, one year intensive program. After graduating from SU, she lived and worked in Honduras.
Natalia Donahue (B.A. Spanish, French minor, 2014) has accepted a Spanish teaching position with St. Margaret’s School in Virginia.
Camille St. Regis (B.A. English, French minor, 2013) is an acrylic painter who accepts commissions for her original portraits at camillustrations.com. She is looking forward to her upcoming Peace Corps assignment.
Christine Clemons (B.A. French, 2013) was awarded a scholarship through the French Embassy to teach English as a second language in France during the 2013-2014 academic year.
Garrett White (B.A. Communication Arts, Spanish minor, 2008, M.A. Conflict Analysis and Dispute Resolution, 2012) is living in Buga, Valle del Cauca, Colombia where he teaches English in a nationally sponsored technical college called SENA, Servicio educativo nacional de aprendiz, via the non-profit organization Volunteers Colombia.
Grace Wheatley (B.A. French, Music minor, 2012) earned her M.A. in French at Bowling Green State University.
Jessica McGinty (B.A. French Secondary Education, 2011) is a French teacher in the Frederick county school district in Maryland.
Allison Lee (B.A. French and International Studies, 2011) earned her M.A. in French from Bowling Green State University.
Alison Buchanan (B.A. French, 2011) was awarded a scholarship through the French Embassy to teach English as a second language in France during the 2011-2012 academic year, and is now teaching French at a private school in Indiana.
Rachel McGinley (B.A. Spanish and International Business Administration, 2010) has been working as an International Operations Representative since June of 2010 at Perdue Farms in Salisbury, MD. Her job involves travel to fascinating places all over the world.
Angela Hammond (B.A. French and TESOL, 2010) is teaching French full-time in the Harford County school district.
Nicholas Meyers (B.A. Spanish Secondary Education, 2010) accepted a job to teach Spanish I and II at Towson High School in Baltimore County.
Jeremy Gould (B.A. Spanish and Sociology, 2009) teaches English at a public high school in Quintero, Chile through the World Teach program. World Teach is a volunteer program in partnership with Harvard University and the Chilean Ministry of Education.
Ashley Eschenburg (B.A. French, Spanish minor, 2009) has just returned from a year-long paid assistantship teaching English to French students in France, and is now teaching French full-time in the Wicomico County school district, as well as completing her Master's of Teaching degree at Salisbury University
Alison Thoms (M.A.T., French Secondary Education, 2009) has been teaching French full-time at Brooklyn Park Middle School in Anne Arundel County since 2009, and is the designated French teacher for their Performing and Visual Arts Program.
Emilie Staubs (B.A. French and Philosophy, 2009) earned her Master’s Degree in French Literature and Culture from Boston College and is a Visiting Instructor of French at the University of Illinois.
Sarah Ullah (B.A. Biology, French minor, 2009) enrolled in medical school at the University of Maryland.
Simpson Goodman (B.A. Spanish, 2009) studied international law at the Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson.

Sarah "Katie" McDermott (B.A. Spanish and CADR, 2008) has been been accepted into the University of Maryland's Masters/Spanish Teacher Certification program.
Willem Miciche (B.A. Geography, Spanish minor, 2008) accepted an offer to teach Spanish I and II at Anne Arundel County Public Schools. He is also pursuing a Masters Degree in Teaching.
Elinor (Betsy) Lampo (B.A. Spanish, 2008) was hired as a full-time Spanish teacher of levels 1 and 2 at Great Mills High School in Great Mills, MD.
Caroline Harrison (B.A. Spanish, 2008) was the 2008 student commencement speaker! She teaches Spanish in the Wicomico County School District.
Britannie Davila (B.A. Spanish, 2007) received a degree from Towson University in Criminal Justice and Psychology. She hopes to be a police officer for the NSA.
Armando Santiago (B.A. Spanish, 2007) and Angelo Torres (B.A. Spanish, 2006) is working with Angelo at the National Maritime Center in West Virgina. They report that they use Spanish every day in their new jobs.
Benjamin Einsidler (B.A. Spanish, 2007) was accepted into the Masters Degree program in Hispanic Studies in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Boston College.

Erin Cooper (B.A. Spanish Secondary Education, 2007) enrolled in a Masters Degree program at the University of Salamanca in Spain. Erin was our 2007 Outstanding Foreign Language Student award recipient!
Mary Bateman (B.A. Spanish Secondary Education, 2006) See our feature stories! Mary teaches Spanish to high school students at the Yongsan International School of Seoul, South Korea. On her return to the U.S., she will pursue a Masters Degree in Guidance Counseling.
Lisa (Delaney) King (B.A. Spanish, 2006) completed her Masters degree in Hispanic literature at Penn State University and now teaches Spanish at Marley Middle School in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
Ellie Adelman (B.A. Spanish and CADR, 2006) travelled to Gambia with the Peace Corps. A world traveler, she participated in the Málaga, Spain program and spent a semester studying in India. Ellie was the student commencement speaker for the 2006 ceremony!
Amanda Kinsel (B.A. Spanish, 2006) was accepted into a Masters Degree with a Certificate in Spanish translation at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Amanda was our Outstanding Foreign Language Student award winner in 2006.
Frances Barreto (B.A. Spanish and English, 2006) is a Bilingual Education teacher for the 2^ndgrade at Forth Worth Independent School district. She also enrolled in a Masters program for counseling at Amberton University.
Alison Durgin (B.A. Spanish 2006) enrolled in the Masters Degree in Speech Pathology program at Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland.
Lisa Delaney (B.A. Spanish and English, 2006) spent a year in Bogotá, Colombia teaching English before deciding to come back to the states to pursue her Masters degree in Hispanic Literature at the Pennsylvania State University main campus. She has lived and worked in Ecuador, Venezuela, Argentina, and Colombia.
