NCUR Information

The National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) is dedicated to promoting ;undergraduate research, scholarship and creative activity in all fields of study by sponsoring an annual conference for students. Unlike meetings of academic professional organizations, this gathering of student scholars welcomes presenters from all institutions of higher learning and from all disciplines. Overall, this conference offers a unique environment for the celebration and promotion of undergraduate student achievement; provides models of exemplary research, scholarship, and creative activity; and offers student career readiness development.

NCUR 2026 in Richmond, VA | April 13-15, 2026

The Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) has selected the city of Richmond, VA to hold the 2026 National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR). In partnership with Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), NCUR 2026 will be an opportunity for undergraduate students and their mentors from around the world to present their research, celebrate their successes, and prepare for the future.   • Call for Abstracts Now Open 
  • Abstract Deadline December 5, 2025
  • Registration Opens January 14, 2026
  • Registration Closes March 6, 2026
  • Conference Dates April 13, 14 & 15, 2026

SU NCUR Travel Grant Program

Due to the high costs of attending NCUR, we will only be able to fund 10 students. We strongly encourage you to apply for other sources of funding through the university or your individual school. To be awarded an SU NCUR Travel Grant, we must receive a copy of your acceptance notification. Notifications of acceptance should be emailed around January 14th. Please email your acceptance notification to ourca@salisbury.edu by January 15th (if you have not received a notification from NCUR by then, please email us to let us know that). OURCA will send an email reminder about this to all students who applied for the NCUR travel grant in January.
