Battery Recycling

Salisbury University’s Recycling Program collects and recycles a variety of batteries to keep them out of landfills. These include carbon zinc (regular), alkaline, lithium cadmium, nickel and rechargeable batteries.

Smaller batteries, ranging from button cells to 9-volt, are collected in specially marked repurposed plastic coffee containers that have distributed across the campus. Pickup of larger batteries, battery packs or quantities, may be arranged by calling the Recycling Program Office at 410-543-6283.

Pickup of lead acid or “wet” and gel batteries may be scheduled by calling the Environmental Safety Office at 410-546-6485.
