Starting out as an Exploratory Studies student means you will be matched up with a professional advisor who specializes in helping students find an academic path that works for them.
Some of SU’s most successful students started out in Exploratory Studies. These students have gone on to successfully complete degrees in all five of SU’s schools and colleges, including psychology, marketing, exercise science, biology and elementary education.
As a first-time freshman, you may join our Explorers Living Learning Community and spend your first semester discovering yourself and your possibilities while living with other still deciding students.
You can declare a major at any time in your first 45 credits. We encourage you to take advantage of resources and start planning early to give you the smoothest possible path to a degree and career you will love.
