David Burns

Bio

Dr. David P. Burns is a professor in Salisbury University’s Communication Department where he teaches multimedia journalism courses like sport communication, advanced multimedia reporting, media law and international media systems. Burns has worked for CNN and NBC News, in both permanent and freelance capacities, as a videotape editor and field camera operator in the United States and abroad. While living outside the US, he worked as a technology correspondent for the IDG Wire Service and for a Polish business and finance weekly newspaper. He has taught digital content courses to students, and journalism workshops to working media professionals, in Afghanistan, Jordan, Poland, Russia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and the United States.
