Respiratory Therapy Students Have 100% Pass Rate on Certification Exam
SALISBURY, MD--SALISBURY, MD--All 14 senior respiratory therapy students in the Department of Health Sciences at Salisbury State University who attempted the National Board for Respiratory Care’s March 1998 Certification Examination passed. The national pass rate for this examination for all Respiratory Therapy Programs is 75 percent. The SSU program is directed by Dr. Sidney Schneider and Dr. Robert Joyner.
"We are very proud of the dedicated faculty and students in our Respiratory Therapy Program," said SSU Provost Donald Cathcart. "Although the program was recognized as "nationally eminent" during their last accreditation review, we believe the most important indicator of quality in a program is the performance of its graduates. The outstanding performance of our students on the certification serves to validate our belief that SSU’s Respiratory Therapy Program is among the very best in the country."
