Nursing Faculty Make Presentations at International Conference on Feminism and Gender Issues in Bangkok, Thailand.
SALISBURY, MD--Salisbury State University nursing faculty recently attended the International Conference on Feminism and Gender Issues in Bangkok, Thailand. The conference, coordinated by Dr. Thomas Erskine of the SSU English Department, was sponsored by SSU and Srinakharinwirot University.
Presentations were made by faculty members Susan Battistoni, assistant professor, "Perceptions of Menopause: A Survey of University Educated Women"; Vonnie Brown, assistant professor, "Men In Nursing"; Nancy (Betsy) Drewer, assistant professor, "Hormone Replacement Therapy: Making an Informed Decision"; and Edna Quinn, professor emeritus, "Domestic Violence."
Dr. Karin Johnson, assistant to SSU’s President William C. Merwin, gave the opening welcome to the conference along with the Srianharinwirot University President Somonta Promboon. The conference was officially opened by the Prime Minister of Thailand Chuan Leekpai.
