SU Hosts Bus Trip to The Library of Congress

Library of CongressSALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Center for Extended and Lifelong Learning continues its “SU on the Road” series with a bus trip to the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., Tuesday, November 13.

The bus leaves the Guerrieri Student Union at 7:30 a.m., returning at 6:30 p.m. The trip includes a guided tour of the library’s Thomas Jefferson Building, followed by an opportunity to explore the facility independently.

Current exhibits at the library include “Baseball Americana,” “Echoes of the Great War: American Experiences of World War I,” “Drawn to Purpose: American Women Illustrators and Cartoonists,” “Mapping a Growing Nation: From Independence to Statehood,” “Hope for America: Performers, Politics and Pop Culture,” “Thomas Jefferson’s Library,” “Exploring the Early Americas” and “Here to Stay: The Legacy of George and Ira Gershwin.”

The library’s public displays also include the Herblock Gallery, celebrating the work of editorial cartoonist Herbert L. Block, and the Swann Gallery of graphic arts.

Advance reservations are required. Cost is $50 per person.
