Eoin Breadon Artist Talk at SU
SALISBURY, MD---Glass artist Eóin Breadon discusses his work during an artist talk 5:30 p.m. Thursday, October 11, in Room 153 of Salisbury University’s Conway Hall.
Breadon’s pieces are influenced by Irish folklore and craftsmanship. He works in the tradition of the seanchaí, the traditional Irish storyteller.
Currently an assistant professor of art at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, he has headed his own custom sculpture and design studio in California since 2000. His works have been displayed at exhibitions throughout the U.S., including Los Angels’ Museum of Neon Art and the Flame Run Gallery in Louisville, KY.
In addition, he produced site-specific sculptures and glassware for the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. A finalist for the 2007 NICHE Magazine Arts Educator of the Year award, he served as a visiting artist and professor at SU in 2009 and 2010.
