SU’s Nabb Center Displays Toadvine’s Award-Winning Images
SALISBURY, MD---Photographs by Mel Toadvine, award-winning photojournalist at Salisbury’s Daily Times, are displayed in the exhibit “Capturing the Times: The Photojournalism of Mel Toadvine” October 11-December 10 at Salisbury University’s Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons.
Toadvine’s career with The Daily Times spanned four decades, including several years as editor. He captured the news and events that shaped Delmarva from the 1960s through the 1990s. The exhibit features a collection of his award-winning photographs, including images documenting Presidents Jimmy Carter, Richard Nixon and John F. Kennedy when each visited the region.
Sponsored by the Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture, admission is free and the public is invited.
All attendees at Salisbury University indoor events are required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. Attendees may be asked to leave an event for non-compliance.
