Guerrieri Art Space Presents 'Color of My Aura' Through April 20

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Guerrieri Student Union Art Space hosts the exhibit “Color of My Aura” by senior B.F.A. major Sydnie Bjork through Tuesday, April 20.

Originally from Port Deposit, MD, Bjork has a concentration in hot glass. She also works in sculpture and paint. Her work explores color, forms and abstract variations, as well as figurative and portraiture elements.

“My work emphasizes the expressive power of color,” said Bjork. “Sometimes the whole process begins with a spontaneous painting approach, and I don't make specific plans for the piece. The abstraction, color, psychedelia and emotions are essential aspects of my works. I want the colors to play with feelings and the figurative and abstract forms to evoke a certain sense.”
