Salisbury and University Chorales Perform Spring Concert
SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury and University chorales present their annual spring concert, “Celestial Spheres,” 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7, in Salisbury University’s Holloway Hall Auditorium.
Directed by Dr. William Folger, the performance includes music about physical astronomical, literary and musical spheres (canons and rounds).
The program features eight pieces including John Purifoy’s “Solstice,” about returning to the light and springtime, and Jonathan Dove’s “Seek Him That Marketh the Seven Stars” for chorus and organ. Also included are Thomas Pasatieri I’s “Three Mysteries” for chorus and Ross Lee Finney’s Spherical Madrigals.
Tickets are $10, $5 for senior citizens, faculty, staff and students, available through the SU performing arts webpage.
Those planning to park on campus must register in advance for a free parking pass.
