Biotech Entrepreneur Chirikjian speaks at SU December 4
SALISBURY, MD---Some people have described Dr. Jack Chirikjian as a “serial entrepreneur.” The scientist has started five biotechnology businesses and is open to the possibility of more.
The professor of biochemistry at Georgetown University Medical Center’s School of Medicine shares his expertise with Salisbury University students and the greater community during the talk “From Concepts of Biology to the Business of Biotechnology” 4 p.m. Thursday, December 4, in Henson Science Hall Room 243. A pre-event reception is 3:30 p.m. in Room 213.
A leading expert on biotechnology curriculum and program development, Chirikjian has provided hundreds of students with career development ideas and solutions. His business interests include oncology, diagnostics and biotechnology education. He is also the author of many publications and articles including the book Biotechnology Theory Techniques. He earned his Ph.D. from Rutgers University and performed post-doctoral studies at Princeton University.
