Perdue School, FPA Combine for Continuing Education Series

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University hosts the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Maryland Thursday, April 29. Board member George Collis speaks as part of the first meeting, which begins at 7:30 a.m. in the Worcester Room of the Commons. His topic is titled “21st Century Mortgages: They’re Not Your Father’s Oldsmobile—How the Mortgage Landscape Has Changed and What Advisors Should Know and Do in Light of That Change.” During the speech, Collis will explain the changes mortgage financing has undergone in recent years and what opportunities and risks those changes present for financial advisors. The presentation inaugurates a new FPA program for continuing education on the Eastern Shore and qualifies for a one-hour credit of CFP continuing education and a one-hour credit of Maryland insurance continuing education. Also planned are study groups and other business education opportunities. The program is presented in partnership with the Perdue School’s financial planning track, the only such CFP board certified undergraduate program in Maryland. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Light refreshments are served. Advance registration deadline is Tuesday, April 27. Admission is free and the public is cordially invited.
