SAP Content at SU

SAP enterprise software is used in both the undergraduate and graduate programs in the Perdue School. It is found in courses across several departments that address ERP, analytics and mobile application development.

Undergraduate

Undergraduate students that recognize the advantage of at least some exposure to SAP enterprise applications can pursue one of the following options:

Single ERP Course

What is it? Take a single course to gain an understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and the role this integrated information system plays in modern organizations

Interest level: Desire general knowledge about ERP systems and understanding of business processes that can be included on resume

Recommendations: INFO 370

Make sure you check catalog for prerequisites for courses listed under all options.
SAP UA Recognition Award
What is it? This award demonstrates that you possess more in-depth knowledge about integrated business processes and how an ERP system works

Interest level: Desire deeper knowledge about integrated processes and setting systems up, as well as a specific SAP UA credential on resume

Information Systems (IS) Major** OR Enterprise Information Systems (EIS)
What is it?: This specialization provides a strong technical background, but emphasizes the business knowledge and analytical skills necessary to successfully plan and implement such systems

Interest level: Desire to have the IS and ERP knowledge embedded within the IS major or EIS minor in order to show employers you are able to solve real world business problems, a source of competitive advantage

SAP TS410 Certification
What is it?: SAP TS410 Certification is the most rewarding aspect of our ERP Program. This certification is external validation of what you have learned about business processes and ERP systems and enhances your marketability

Interest level: Desire to illustrate your in-depth knowledge and commitment to SAP to future employers, and have a high level of interest and commitment to this process

MBA

Graduate students complete 3 courses with substantial SAP content and are thus eligible for the SAP UA Recognition Award, an award given by the SAP University Alliance and Salisbury University that acknowledges that students have demonstrated some knowledge of SAP enterprise software (students must complete application for this award via web site). In addition, MBA students are eligible to try to achieve the SAP TERP10 Certification via the TERP10 certification course/exam offered in the Perdue School of Business.
