Hazing Prevention & Resources

Prevention and Awareness Programs

Salisbury University is committed to proactively preventing hazing through comprehensive, evidence-based education and awareness programs. In accordance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act, the University will implement regular campus-wide prevention and awareness programs aimed at reaching students, faculty and staff starting in fall 2025.

Additionally, the University will continue to deliver dedicated education and prevention programs for leadership and members of registered student organizations.

Reporting Options

Student Accountability & Community Standards
Any person may report Hazing to the University by submitting an Incident Report, in person, by mail, by telephone or by electronic mail, by contacting the Student Accountability and Community Standards at studentconduct@salisbury.edu or (410) 677-0022.

Salisbury University Police Department
Individuals may contact Salisbury University Police at (410) 543-6222, in person on East Campus at 110 Power Street, or submit a report through SUPD’s Silent Witness Portal.

Campus Resources

Counseling Center
If you are a victim of hazing, or know others who are, please contact the Counseling Center for high-quality, confidential, professional mental health services. The Center specializes in short-term, generalist treatment options. They also offer TimelyCare, an external tele-mental health service provider that is free for all SU students. Office of Institutional Equity
The Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) supports and advances the University’s commitment to create an inclusive environment free of discrimination and supportive of all by leading campus efforts to manage all aspects of the Fair Practices/AA programs, as well as Title IX compliance, and weaves the diversity strategy throughout our campus. Student Health Services
Student Health Services at Salisbury University is dedicated to providing high quality health care and health education services to the Salisbury University Campus. Their services are designed to provide holistic, high quality and urgent care services including primary and acute care services as well as sexual & reproductive health care. SU Cares (Case Management)
SU Cares provides support for students experiencing non-academic barriers to success during their time at Salisbury University. While SU Cares is not a decision-making office, students partner with case managers to make informed decisions. For every student’s case, a needs assessment is completed with the goal of linking a student to a campus and/or community resource.
