Orientation Checklist – Students Starting Fall 2024

• Complete your housing contract by May 31. For you to move to the next step, you will need to complete this or request an exemption through the form if you are planning to commute from home.
• You can complete your Housing Contract through your Admissions Status Portal

• Starting in April 2024 you will be able to complete your Orientation Registration & Survey. Completing your Registration Survey will assist your Academic Advisor in creating your first semester schedule. At the end of the survey you will select an available Sea Gull Start-Up date. You will receive an email to the personal email address SU has on file when you can access the registration and survey information.

• Orientation Registration & Survey will become available in April. Students will receive email communication when it is live. Students will register through their Admissions Status Portal when it is available.

• Once you submit your orientation registration and survey, you will receive a registration confirmation email containing the information you need to attend your Sea Gull Start-Up Session. 

The New Student Guide

Make sure you are staying up to date with your Admissions Status Portal. Your portal will be updated regularly with many new things for you to do and complete. Some of these include completing your required training before the start of the semester.

• As part of completing your orientation survey and registering for Orientation, students will select a date to attend a Sea Gull Start-Up session. Academic Advising Team members and Orientation Staff members will guide new students and families through an informative session and will make sure all of your questions can be answered. Please note: Sea Gull Start-Up is required for all new students (first year and transfer) to participate in.

• Unable to make the date you registered for? Click the reschedule button in your confirmation email or email orientation@salisbury.edu

• Please submit your transcript(s) to Admissions as soon as possible

 

Complete Diversity Training, Kognito Training, Alcohol Wise Training, and Consent & Respect Training by August 15th. All of these trainings can be found in your Admissions Status Portal

• 8/26-First Day of Classes
• 8/30- Regular Session Drop/Add Ends
• 11/1- Regular Session Last Day to Drop a Class (Grade of W)
• 11/27-11/29 Thanksgiving Break
• 12/9-Last Day of Classes
• 12/10-Reading Day
• 12/11-12/17 Final Exams
