Writing Assignments
When Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) workshops began in the mid-1980s, two types of writing were frequently discussed—writing to learn and learning to write. Since then, WAC scholars have moved towards viewing writing along a continuum. This scale includes writing to learn, writing to engage, and writing in the disciplines.
