Request for Out-of-State Motor Coach Transportation
In-State Travel
Salisbury University Motor Pool has the first right of refusal for all in-state trips. When booking this category of trip, an SU Work Order must be submitted to the Motor Pool Office (MB-123). Please be sure to include the following information:
- Size of group
- Departure location
- Destination
- Departure time
- Estimated return time
The Motor Pools fleet includes the following:
- 1 - 32 passenger
- 3 - 29 passenger
- 1 - 21 passenger
- 1 - 28 Passenger with Handicap Access
All questions regarding travel handled by the Salisbury University Motor Pool should be directed to Colleen Kirby, clkirby@salisbury.edu, or at extension 36211.
The Motor Pool may turn down a trip for reasons such as: too large a group, too great a distance, or all the buses are booked. If the Motor Pool cannot provide a group transportation, the group should submit a request to the via Workday in accordance with procedures for out-of-state travel. See below
Out of State Travel
To request an out of state charter bus, please submit a requisition via Workday for $1. The request should be submitted far enough in advance to ensure that the appropriate transportation will be available.
When booking this category of trip, please keep in mind:
- April, May, and December are busy times for bus companies. Booking needs to be done four months ahead of time or earlier, if possible, to ensure pricing and availability.
- Please note the standard bus seats 55-56 passengers.
Be sure to include the following information on your WD ticket:
- Number of passengers
- Handicap equipped needed (you will lose 4 seats)
- Departure location
- Destination
- Departure date/time from SU
- Return date/time from location

Travel times may need to be adjusted as they are subject to current DOT rules and regulations.
