Dr. Jessica Kennett Clark was named Interim Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Salisbury University in January 2026. Previously, she served in multiple Academic Affairs Leadership positions, including Acting Vice President of Academic Affairs in 2025, Associate Provost in 2024, and Assistant Provost for Faculty Success from 2021-2024.

From 2017-2020, Jessica was co-director of SU’s Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity. She joined SU as an assistant professor of biological sciences in 2014, becoming an associate professor in 2020.

Jessica earned her Ph.D. in neuroscience from Florida State University in 2009. She also graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.S. in Psychology in 2004. Prior to joining SU, she was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Virginia.

At SU, she has received multiple honors, including the President’s Diversity and Inclusion Champion Award in 2023, the Office of Access and Accommodations Outstanding Faculty Advocate Award in 2021, and the Outstanding Research Mentor Award in 2019.
