Graduate Training Application Process
The Counseling Center offers several internship positions to graduate students each year. Staff members work collaboratively to provide quality training and supervision for graduate students in a professional clinical setting. The Counseling Center operates Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional programs offered in the evenings and on weekends.
Intern Responsibilities
Duties are assigned based on intern’s clinical and academic readiness. The training program takes a developmental approach in assigning responsibilities. The chart below includes an example of an intern schedule that fluctuates with the academic calendar year.

Interview Process
- Review of applications will begin immediately upon receipt. Qualified applicants will be contacted for interviews.
- Interviews include meeting with the Training Coordinator individually as well as the Counseling Center staff and current interns.
- Applicants will be notified of final decisions regarding internship positions as soon as possible, following interviews and reference checks.
